Pre-Sales Engineer / Network Architect

We are looking to recruit a Pre-Sales Engineer to provide a key role supporting the sales team working with clients and developing new customer opportunities across various sectors.  The role will be based from the Lanarkshire office, however attending customer meetings throughout Scotland is also a key requirement of the role.

We are seeking someone with exceptional technical design skills covering a wide range of Cisco technology architectures.  The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of network design principals, industry best practices, and emerging technologies and standards.

Candidates must be able to translate customer business challenges into deliverable solutions that they are able to articulate the technical and business benefits of.  A demonstrable track record of developing customer opportunities through to technical solution designs, customer proposals & presentations as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills is core requirement of this role.

Responsibilities

• Attend customer and new opportunity sales meetings to provide technical design authority
• Present to customers on business benefits of Cisco technologies
• Present to customer technical teams on the architectural features and integration requirements of Cisco based solutions and technologies
• Conduct customer product and solution demonstrations using internal or dCloud systems
• Prepare sales proposals outlining the high-level design and benefits of Cisco based solutions
• Prepare detailed Visio diagrams depicting how technical solutions are architected and can be integrated to other services.
• Prepare accurate Cisco bill of materials within CCW and work with the sales team to review different solution bundles available to achieve the best commercial price point for proposed solutions
• Provide detailed internal handover and support to the project and support teams to ensure best customer experience

Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 5 Years’ experience in a similar role or field based / consulting role
• Minimum CCNP / CCDP required
• Strong understanding of Cisco Enterprise Networking, Collaboration, Data Centre & Security architectures with the ability to develop, propose & present customer solutions based on all of these technologies.
• Experience of successfully supporting Cisco solution bids through to successful order & implementation
• Experience in new technology research and solution development (e.g. developing unique business use cases or target markets based on new or emerging products or technologies)
• Experience of Cisco tools such as CCW & dCloud
