Basic £38,000 to £50,000 Flex + full executive benefits package + Bonus
The Client
Our client is a century old global business who are market leaders in the aerospace industry. They are now looking for an international Account Manager to look after a select number of key accounts within the Aerospace sector, most of which are based outwith the UK, there will be around 40% foreign travel in this job. They have gone from strength to strength and have had continued success through this recession.
The Role
• To shape and grow the sales and new business within the global aerospace area which will contribute to the overall success of the business. To make commercial decisions that ultimately benefit the business and to identify opportunities to gain synergies globally.
• Most of your time initially will be managing a select number of key accounts
• To work autonomously building effective relationships at the highest level of seniority with our customers building an strong network of clients
• Cost/commercial awareness approach, focussing activities that will yield best results for the business
• Effectively organising, managing and delivering sales campaigns/visits and calculating return on investment
• Conduct meaningful medium and long term analysis of business opportunities translating data into profitable opportunities for the Group
• To effectively manage and develop the performance and skills of direct reports
Requirements
This is an important position with the business and my client is looking for the best account managers in the West Central area and are offering a package to reflect that, you must be used to managing Key Accounts, ideally within the Engineering or Aerospace industry. Importantly you must be degree qualified in either a technical or business discipline and be prepared to spend 30-40% of your time out of the country. We are looking for the best in the market and are willing to pay for that, what you have sold is irrelevant but you must be a board room negotiator, have that extra gravitas and be used to extensive travel. Preference will be given to candidates with experience of selling to the Aerospace or Engineering players however strong technical candidates are encouraged to apply.
